​Q: What is the cutoff time for ordering?

A: Orders for garments should be placed at least 5 business days before the event to ensure timely delivery.

Q: What is included in my rental?
A: Your rental includes the garment and a pre-paid return shipping labeled bag. Accessories are not included unless specified in the garment description.

Q: How long can I keep my rental?
A: Our standard rental period is four days. The rental period shall commence from the date the garment is picked up/delivered to the Renter and continue until the garment is returned to The Pageant Wardrobe. A fixed price will be specified for your rental period, rather than a daily fee. If you require a garment for more than four days, for example, an international pageant, please enter the details in the special request box at the bottom of the rental web page.

Q: How much is shipping and how long will it take?

A: The cost of postage will vary depending on the type and number of garments you hire, and the final postage price will be communicated at the time of your order. We post with NZ Post using their courier service (overnight post with tracking and signature). The postage includes a return bag. we dispatch all orders 2-3 days prior to the date of your event. While NZ Post's Overnight Post service is designed to deliver your items by the next business day, please note that in some instances, deliveries can take an additional business day.

Q: How do I return my rental?
A: Pack the garment into the provided return-labeled bag. All postal orders are to be dropped off at your nearest NZ Post shop the following business day after your event before 2 p.m. If your event is on a Saturday or Sunday, it will need to be taken to a NZ Post shop before 2 p.m. on the Monday. Please note that if you put it in a drop box, you will be charged a late fee, as this causes delays. Once you have handed the package over to NZ Post we will be notified that the garment/s is on it way back to us.

Q: What happens if I return my rental late?
A: A daily late fee of $20 will be charged for each day the garment is not returned after the agreed-upon return date and time. We provide a grace period of 5 hours after the due date and time before late fees are applied (unless we are contacted). If the rental is not returned on time and we have to cancel another customer's booking, the renter will then be charged the rental price on top of late fees. If the garment is not returned 10 days after the agreed return date and time, the renter will then be required to pay the full retail price of the garment as a replacement fee (see our terms and conditions for more information about late fees).

Q: What if I accidentally damage the garment?
A: The renter will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the rental (beyond normal wear and tear). If there are any stains or damage to the item that is being hired, the renter will be required to pay for it to be dry-cleaned or professionally repaired. If the garment is lost or the damage cannot be fixed, you will then need to pay the full recommended retail price. Please do not wash the garments yourself. It is to be returned to us unwashed as we dry clean them. Please do not alter the garment in any way. 

Q: Where is The Pageant Wardrobe based?

A: Gisborne

Q: Do you offer try-ons?

Yes, if you are in Gisborne or passing through, a dress fitting can be arranged via email or Instagram message.

Q: Can I pick up and drop off the garment instead of getting it shipped?

A" yes you can, the time will be arranged via email or instagram messaging.

Q: Can I hire more than one garment?

A: Yes, you can rent out a maximum of three garments at a time, though shipping may cost more due to the size of the packaging required to send more than one garment.

Q: What sizes do you have?

sizing ranges from Size NZ 8–16, though we will acquire more different-sized garments over time to accommodate as many people as we can. The sizing (bust, waist, and hips) of the garments will be specified, though not all garments will have specific sizing due to some garments being custom-made or information not being available when brought (these measurements are for reference only and may not be exact).
